Holy Rebellion – Before you Apply

Who we are?

Holy Rebellion is a casual raiding guild that takes a professional approach to raiding end game content. We (try) to cater to both Oceanic and American raiders.

Our current raid times are:

Wed/Thurs/Fri/Mon: 5pm Server time

Additional raids may be planned to facilitate progression or farm content in preparation for progression, please check the guild calendar regularly.

10 Mans will be running regularly through the week, you are encouraged, although not required to run these in-guild.

Applying to Holy Rebellion

We are a pretty diverse group of people, the only requirement that we place on members is that they are willing to put work into their characters and not expect to be carried by the guild collective.

To apply, use this template and leave a post on the application forums. An officer will contact you regarding your application as soon as possible. BE SURE TO READ THE REST OF THIS DOCUMENT BEFORE YOU APPLY.

Guild Rules and Expectations

Holy Rebellion is not a democracy. Do as required by your GM and officers.

Offensive language is always banned from guild chat and vent in a raid (what people do in party is their own business).

Guild members that expect to raid must have Ventrillo installed and be able to use it.

Do not bring the guild into disrepute, if you are in a PUG, behave yourselves the same as though you were in a Holy Rebellion raid. Reported players will be dealt with if the Guild Master feels there is merit in the complaint. NINJAs WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

Level 80 characters above the rank of Friend are expected to donate to the Guild Bank on a regular basis. 50 gold a week, or high-level raw materials that will contribute to raid progression are appreciated.

Check the guild forums regularly. Important and helpful information is posted here that will not make it to GMOTD.

Raiding

Nine or twenty-four other people are not less important than you. Show respect and consideration to your fellow guild-mates and raid members.

If you have signed up for a raid (use in-game calendar) then you are expected to be there. If you have accepted an invitation to a raid and do not show up it will be noted. Three offenses without a valid reason will invoke officer action.

ACCEPT: If you accept an invitation to an event you will be there.
DECLINE: You won't be there. If this is a progression raid, please give a reason to your SL.
STANDBY: You may be there, you may not. You don't wear underwear and like the freedom it brings. Do not expect an invitation when on standby. Contact your SL to be put on standby.

In Holy Rebellion, being raid prepared includes the following: Having appropriate consumables for your role. All gear enchanted and gemmed appropriately and a basic knowledge of the encounters that will be attempted that raid. This is to be accomplished through various internet resources such as bosskillers.com and wowwiki. Applications that include this detail will be favourably looked upon.

Show up for a raid at least fifteen minutes beforehand and be prepared. Showing up at the scheduled start or afterwards is not acceptable and will be deemed a no-show.

Accept that sometimes due to class composition, not all sign-ups will make it into a raid. This is the raid leader's decision. If you want to force selection into a raid, get your gear and toon to a point where you can't be left out.

If you believe you've been unfairly looked over, talk privately to your section leader after the raid.

Do not post dps / damage / healing meters during a raid; this is the raid leader's prerogative only.

When a raid leader tells you to do something, do it. If your input is wanted then it will be asked for. If you have a suggestion, then send a whisper in game.

Respect your fellow raiders, after a boss fight NO ONE IS TO LOOT until every raid member has been resurrected.

ALL raiders are required to have 400+ First Aid with the ability to create Heavy Frostweave bandages.

Novelty Items such as non-combat pets and train sets are not to be out during 10/25 man raids at any time. They provide unnecessary distractions to the raiding environment.
Also these just provide more information to upload and download and can be detrimental to those on lesser connections.
